Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL)

Approaches to teaching content through languages, Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and bilingual education are increasingly popular across Europe. Significant expertise has been built up to provide consultancy for subject teachers not trained in facilitating language learning. Building on existing ECML publications in the area of CLIL, in the programme 2012-2015 ECML work will focus on developing academic literacies through CLIL approaches.
