The Council of Europe has been implementing since 2007 a project on “Linguistic Integration of Adult Migrants” (LIAM). It offers member states clear principles and guidelines as well as targeted practical support to help them respond to the challenges of linguistic integration.

The symposium brings together some 180 participants, researchers and academics from all over Europe and beyond. 70 individual contributions of researchers will be presented before being compiled as an interdisciplinary inventory offering governments additional resources for the elaboration of policies.
