Learning a language is a fundamental and enriching aspect of personal development, serving multiple purposes. However, language learning is becoming generally less popular among students and often only focuses on a few EU languages. Among the numerous factors affecting language learning, there is the question of how languages are taught in schools.
The European School Education Platform – the single integrated platform for schools in Europe by the European Commission, and meeting point for all stakeholders in the school education sector – has recently addressed this issue and launched a short survey on language learning which will be open until 7 July 2024.
Responses from all education stakeholders (policy makers, researchers, teachers etc.) are welcome. The survey can be answered in 29 languages.
The results will be published on the European School Education Platform.
You are encouraged to promote this survey to your networks – for example, by sharing these X and Facebook posts.
