The following Italian online journal has published this ECML document and added an article summarizing the publication: Italiano lingua due, Rivista del Master "Promozione e insegnamento della lingua e cultura Italiana a stranieri" (vol. 4, no. 2, 2012).

The ECML wishes to thank the translators Anna Maria Curci and Edoardo Lugarini for their valuable work.

The CARAP/FREPA publication and  accompanying website with CARAP/FREPA materials represent a valuable step towards implementing pluralistic approaches in classrooms in order to develop the plurilingual and intercultural competences of learners of all subjects. The publication includes a comprehensive list of descriptors (knowledge, skills and attitudes) targeting plurilingual and intercultural competences and provides relevant teaching materials.  A teacher can select an activity from the online CARAP/FREPA database according to knowledge, skills and attitudes based on the descriptors defined in the framework.

The book is now available in English, French, and Italian. The German version is currently being finalised (provisional version available online).

Target users:

Teachers of all subjects with an interest in plurilingual and intercultural education,
teacher trainers, decision-makers, curriculum/programme designers, textbook writers.
