The latest issue of the Courriel européen des langues has just been launched online on the LISEO portal. Published twice a year, this magazine from the ECML contact point in France is dedicated to language teaching and language policies in Europe.
Issue no. 45 opens with a survey conducted last February on the impact of Covid-19 on language education. This initiative has been carried out within the framework of a cooperation action with the European Commission, the ECML and the organisations that are members of its Professional Network Forum. The respondents point in particular to the impact on teaching, learner outcomes and assessment.
Two projects from the current ECML programme are featured in an article by their coordinator: Mediation in Language Teaching, Learning and Assessment (ME.T.L.A.) and Digital Citizenship through Language Education (e-lang citizen).
This issue also puts the spotlight on the CLIL approach used in the Netherlands which seeks to strengthen the teaching of French and German.
Finally, the selection of publications and digital resources offered will be useful to the language teachers or directly usable in the classroom.
