bubbl.us

Principal function(s): Mind mapping

Bubbl.us is a web-based tool that allows users to create, save, and share mind maps. Users can collaborate with others in real time, customise their mind maps, and export them. Bubbl.us can be used by individuals, teams, and educators for brainstorming, organising ideas, project planning, and studying. In its free version, it allows users to create up to three mind maps. Bubbl.us requires setting up an account but no installation is required. Bubbl.us is developed and maintained by Bubbl.us Inc. Evaluation: Bubbl.us can be a useful and valuable tool since it offers visual support for language learning and teaching. For example, learners can place relevant vocabulary on a mind map and highlight relationships between concepts in an intuitive manner. This can foster creativity and critical thinking, as well as brainstorming when working in groups. Teachers can employ Bubbl.us to visually represent complex topics and facilitate discussions. Basic IT skills are required for its use.
