A roadmap for schools to support the language(s) of schooling

This activity promotes a web-based, user-friendly and customised self-assessment tool to foster school development through a focus on support for the language of schooling. Participants will discuss the various dimensions connected to the language development of all students. The aim is to support academic development in all school subjects and to set up a school development plan.

Objectives of the activity

To explore and pratise …

  • a whole-school approach to engage the different stakeholders involved in the school’s development;
  • the language dimension in all subjects in order to foster the language of schooling;
  • promising practices relevant to enhancing competence levels in the language of schooling.

  • School administrators
  • Teacher educators
  • Decision and policy makers involved in school development

Working languages

Trainings can be conducted in English, French and German.
