Contact for the European Day of Languages (EDL)

The function of a national EDL Relay is to act as a multiplier for organisations, schools and associations, circulating: information communicated by the Council of Europe (for example the press release of the Council on the Day, which the Relays are invited to translate into national/local languages, updates on the website); promotional materials - posters, stickers etc. provided by the Council of Europe every year in significant quantities for event organisers.

Education development unit responsible for strategic issues connected with the school curricula and international co-operation in some fields of school curricula.

Services

Information provided for those interested in the ECML activities (they are regularly informed by circular letters about ECML activities (mainly policy makers, teacher trainers, administrators, teachers, researchers, all connected with the field of language learning and teaching);
free access for everybody interested to all the publications issued by the ECML;
library services;
participants' workshop reports are published in a special catalogue, available at the Contact Point;
two to three times a year providing dissemination services (a kind of seminar) for all those who attended workshops and all others interested in the activities of the ECML.
