Welcome to the Inventory of freely available online tools and OERs for language teaching and learning developed by the ICT REV project. The tools have been selected by and for language educators. There are different ways to search for tools and various examples below. You can also suggest a tool to be added to the Inventory.

Evernote, a tool to take, organise and share notes

Description: Evernote is a tool for collecting, storing, and organising information. Users can take notes, upload images, record audio, and organise files into folders and assign them tags, which can then be easily shared with other users. Evernote requires registration for use, both on browser and app versions. Evernote offers a limited free version that allows for use in two different devices.

Evaluation: Evernote is a useful data-sharing and organising tool, allowing for the creation of groups and sharing of video, audio, and other files. Teachers can create shared units for classes and share educational materials, reminders, classroom calendars, and more. Evernote is also practical and useful for note-taking for research projects since users can organise notes into different notebooks, sync and tag notes for easy access and retrieval, and use an array of editing features. Average IT skills are required for its use.
