Description: Diigo is a bookmarking tool designed that allows highlighting, annotating and organising websites. Users can create groups and communities through which to share bookmarked links and collections. Other members can then easily comment on the links. Diigo offers a limited free version, together with free premium accounts available on request for teachers. Signing up for an account is required for use.
Evaluation: Diigo is a useful tool for engaged reading and creating digital collections. Through Diigo, teachers can curate lists of online resources related to their lesson topics and share them with students. Diigo can also facilitate collaborative research and information sharing.

Respect for privacy What data does the tool collect and why? What security measures are there? GDPR compliant? : Medium. Diigo collects user data such as e-mail addresses, RL, IP address, browser type and language, and the date and time of request. It also saves annotations made by users on its servers. However, it does not record users’ browsing history or share users’ data with third parties. Diigo hosts third parties that collect cookies, such as Google Analytics.
