Welcome to the Inventory of freely available online tools and OERs for language teaching and learning developed by the ICT REV project. The tools have been selected by and for language educators. There are different ways to search for tools and various examples below. You can also suggest a tool to be added to the Inventory.

Dropbox, a tool to synchronise and store files on the cloud

File sharing/syncing

Description: Dropbox is a cloud-based file storage and sharing platform. Users upload files to their Dropbox account, which can then be accessed from any device with an internet connection. Dropbox offers a limited free version with limited storage space. Signing up for an account is required for use.

Evaluation: Dropbox is a useful online storage platform as it provides access to files from any device. It can be useful for teachers with different classes to have their unit and be able to share it with different students. Personal files are accessible both on the hard disk and the cloud if Dropbox is installed on a computer.

Cost: Free with registration + paid plans available.
