Symbaloo, a visual bookmarking tool for websites

Bookmarking

Description: Symbaloo is a visual bookmarking tool that organises web links into customisable tiles on a dashboard. Users can then organise, save, and access bookmarks visually through a grid-based interface, having their preferred or most visited websites always a click away. Symbaloo is completely free to use and was founded by Tim Has, Koen Dantuma, and Robert Broeders

Evaluation: Symbaloo is a useful tool to personalise browser interfaces, organising and saving relevance websites to keep information at hand in a layout that is intuitive and easy to navigate. For teachers, a great way to use Symbaloo would be to create a personalised dashboard with websites that students should use for a specific task and then share it with them.

Cost: Free.
