Welcome to the Inventory of freely available online tools and OERs for language teaching and learning developed by the ICT REV project. The tools have been selected by and for language educators. There are different ways to search for tools and various examples below. You can also suggest a tool to be added to the Inventory.

Wix, a user-friendly website creator

Website/app creators

Description: Wix is a website builder platform for creating websites without needing advanced technical skills. It provides users with a drag-and-drop interface to customise existing templates, while also allowing them to design websites from scratch. Wix offers a limited free version and requires having an account for website creation. Wix was founded in 2006 by Avishai Abrahami, Nadav Abrahami, and Giora Kaplan.

Evaluation: Wix is an easy-to-use website creator that requires no tech expertise. It can be used for teachers to organise materials and make information more accessible for students. The free version should suffice for classroom needs.

Cost: Free limited version with registration + paid plans available.
