Description: Pingo is a tool that allows users to interact with audiences via live polls. It displays results in real time, which users can visualise or show in a browser or a PowerPoint presentation. Pingo requires users to have an account in order to create polls, participating in a poll only requires entering a poll-specific code. It is free and was developed by the University of Paderborn.
Evaluation: Pingo is a valuable tool for creating polls and surveys. Its interface is straightforward both for the creator and other participants. Pingo emphasises user privacy. All in all, it is a handy not-for-profit tool developed by an educational institution.

Pingo only collects user data and cookies, amongst which IP addresses and browser data, for technical security and web server operations and not other purposes such as marketing or advertising. Moreover, user data is deleted after 30 days. Pingo does not share data with third parties or display advertisement. Its privacy policy could nonetheless elaborate more on security measures.
