Lino, Pinboard tool

Virtual pinboards

Description: Lino is a tool where users can put digital post-it notes up onto a pinboard. It allows users to customize their canvas by choosing backgrounds and colours for their sticky notes. The users can also share photos, videos and documents with others. Users can tag each other in sticky notes or make them private.

Evaluation: Lino is a great tool for a range of activities, including brainstorming activities as it allows users to put up as many sticky notes as they wish. Ideas posted can also be discussed with further notes. Another feature that can be especially useful for teachers is the possibility of selecting a due date for a certain sticky note which might include an assignment.
