Welcome to the Inventory of freely available online tools and OERs for language teaching and learning developed by the ICT REV project. The tools have been selected by and for language educators. There are different ways to search for tools and various examples below. You can also suggest a tool to be added to the Inventory.

Screenpresso, a screen capturing tool

Screen recording

Description: Screenpresso is a tool for capturing screenshots, recording screen activity, and annotating images. Users can record or capture screenshots of the entire screen, single windows, or specific areas, which can be later edited for annotations and effects. Screenpresso offers a limited free version and does not require sign-up, although logging in provides additional features. However, it requires installation. Screenpresso was developed by LearnPulse.

Evaluation: Screenpresso is a valuable tool for creating tutorials or narrating any kind of visual content, helping teachers convey information visually. Its only drawback is that it is only compatible with Windows. It requires average IT skills for use.

Cost: Free + paid options available.
