Welcome to the Inventory of freely available online tools and OERs for language teaching and learning developed by the ICT REV project. The tools have been selected by and for language educators. There are different ways to search for tools and various examples below. You can also suggest a tool to be added to the Inventory.

UsingEnglish, a platform with resources for learning English

Autonomous learningEducational sharing

Description: UsingEnglish is an online resource for English language learners and teachers. It provides a wide range of materials, including grammar explanations, vocabulary lists, quizzes, worksheets, and forums, divided into skills and topics. UsingEnglish is free to use with advertisements, offering also a modest subscription plan. It does not require having an account for use, but logging in allows users to participate in forums and discussions and save exercises.

Evaluation: UsingEnglish is a practical and straightforward website for teachers and learners of English. It offers many exercises and also explanations for virtually all linguistic competences, making it an ideal tool for learning autonomously. For teachers, it offers a plethora of complementary resources. As a downside, there is so much content on UsingEnglish that is easy to get lost browsing its interface.
