Game apps

Description: Hero Forge is a web-based tool for creating customisable miniatures and characters for gaming purposes. Users can access the Hero Forge website and use the character creation interface to customise various aspects of their miniature’s appearance. Hero Forge offers both free and paid options for creating miniatures. Users are not required to sign up or have an account to browse the Hero Forge website and create miniatures, although doing so allows users to save and access their custom designs across devices. Hero Forge was developed by Sky Castle Studios, LLC.

Evaluation: Hero Forge is an interesting tool to gamify classes and make them more creative and engaging. While it does not directly target linguistic skills, it can be used as a creative outlet for storytelling and character development when talking about topics such as fighting climate change or ancient civilisations. Average IT skills required.

Cost: Free + paid options available.
