Autonomous learningGenerative AI

Description: Talkpal AI is a chatbot that simulates dynamic and personalised conversations. Users can input text, as well as use a microphone to chat with Talkpal AI, which provides answers and real-time feedback on users’ errors. It is suitable for users of all proficiency levels. Talkpal AI offers a limited free version and requires having an account for use. It was developed by ViveVirtual.

Evaluation: Talkpal AI can be a valuable tool for autonomous language learning. By engaging in simulated conversations with a chatbot, learners can improve their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills and thereby consolidate and expand their vocabulary. Talkpal AI can be quite engaging since it simulates real conversation and allows learners to write and talk about their topics of interest. Although the free version of 15 minutes of usage per day is rather limited, it can be helpful to build a study habit.
