Poll and survey creatorsQuiz/exercise makers

Description: Kahoot is an online platform for creating and playing interactive activities in four formats: quizzes, discussions, surveys, or jumbles. Users, typically educators or trainers, create them using the Kahoot website or app. They can customise questions and answers, add images or videos, and set time limits for answering each question. Players join a game by entering a unique game PIN on the Kahoot website or app, and they can participate in real-time quizzes or surveys. Participants earn points based on correct answers and speed of response, creating a competitive and engaging learning environment. Kahoot offers a free limited version and does not require participatns to sign up or have an account to join a Kahoot game. However, educators or game creators need to sign up for to create and host games. Kahoot was developed by a team of educators and entrepreneurs based in Norway.

Evaluation: Kahoot! is a valuable and engaging tool to add an interactive twist to classroom activities. It is primarily used for educational purposes, such as reviewing material, assessing knowledge, and reinforcing learning concepts. Importantly, it requires having a device (computer, smartphone, tablet...) to play games in the classroom and a data projector or screen to share the results.

Cost: Free without registration for players, free with registration for Kahoot creators + paid plans available.
