Brief tour of the glossary
To help you make your way through this glossary, we propose a thematic entry point with concepts that support reflection. We show the various schools and the plurilingual and pluricultural dimensions of assessing home language competences. There is room for improvement in our selections. A wide range of issues are addressed in various fields of research and disciplines (language sciences, language didactics, educational sciences, sociology, psychology, etc.). We believe in a holistic (global), evolutionary approach which is rooted in diverse interacting environments and strives for greater equity (based on constructive interdependence). These environments include both the social and the cultural contexts.
